Index autograph cards are signed 3×5 index cards that feature a player's handwritten auto. They are often collected as an alternative to traditional hockey cards. For many obscure or early-era goaltenders who never received a rookie card or even a postcard. A signed index card may be the closest to a rookie card. While Index Autos were never produced as trading cards, they are an important part of my archive because they help preserve the legacy of goalies who have little or no collectible representation but did play in the NHL.
