The 1990s are associated with the "junk wax era. At its peak, the hobby was supported by nearly a dozen manufacturers, each producing multiple brands, subsets, and special releases, resulting in an unprecedented number of goalie rookie cards. Oversupply forced many companies out of the market, while the survivors like Upper Deck shifted focus to premium products, inserts, autos, and mem cards. The 90s design is defined by full-bleed photos, foil accents, holograms, and premium finishes. 99.9 % of goalie rookie cards from the era can be found for cents. However, high-grade PSA 10 examples of Hall of Famers like Brodeur, Hasek, and Belfour hold respectable values
